Hip to gable conversion technique is becoming the ideal way to create additional room in a property. This conversion is a type of roof renovations where all sides incline slides to the walls, generally with a fairly gentle slope. Hip roofs have two side first side is triangular side and trapezoidal side.

The quadrate site plan has four sides which create them equal to the center. Hip roofs are more complex to build than a gabled roof, A hip roof can call Pyramid Roof, Pavilion Roof. In London many proprietors like Hip to Gable technique on the roof. In Hip to gable Loft conversion planning permission may be required.

  2. Want to do a loft conversion which is possible we have lots of head room in the loft BUT having issues in getting up there with our current staircase. There’s a corner turn section where our current stairs is not allowing us with the building regs requirement head room. Any suggestion how I can gain 1.5 foot (45cm) extra head room without having to do a small dormer as that's not allowed at front of house. Large back dormer approved. Is there such a thing as a very deep skylight window?
